The Early Years Foundation Stage
This is a statutory framework for setting the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five and is divided into six areas of learning. At School House and Chessgrove Park we aim to provide a learning rich environment which encompasses these areas. EYP/Staff Training
By September 2015 the government will require an Early Years Professional to lead practice in each setting. This qualification can only be accessed by graduates and therefore has to be incorporated into our Team training and development plans over a four year period. We are pleased to say that we already have an EYP in post and further member of our Team able to access EYP training, therefore we are well within the deadline. Our complete Team is qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in ‘Childcare & Education’, again ahead of government targets of 2012 set for Early Years settings
