Extra care is taken to introduce babies to Nursery. By giving loving attention and care in our nurturing, calm environment, our trained and experienced staff will leave you, the parent, confident that all your baby’s needs are being met.
We will provide a daily written account of changing, feeding and sleeping routines for our babies and younger children to ensure continuity and consistency between home and Nursery.
One of the most exciting and flexible aspects of Chessgrove Park Day Nursery is our self contained Baby Unit. Situated on the first floor, the facilities include play alcoves, nappy changing facilities, kitchen, and sensory/baby massage area.
In addition, facilities in the Baby Room at Chessgrove Park include a sleep alcove, housing cots and beds for use as necessary by our younger children and our multi-sensory area is equipped to engage and stimulate the imagination and development of babies and young children. The benefits of this type of play are endless, ranging from simply creative fun, through to the encouragement of cognitive learning and the acquisition of life skills.
Each child is allocated a key person with whom you and your child will build a special bond and all children starting at Chessgrove Park are offered two ‘settling in’ sessions to give you all the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss your special requirements and ask any questions regarding the care we provide.
